I think this is a great book to use for a starting point to talk about how the Earth changes and what whether or things cause it to change. I think this book could be used begin talking about erosion and how water changes the Earth. The age range for this book is 5-7 and the reading level is a K. The DCI that is being explored in this book is Earth and space sciences.
