Number of Patterns : 15
Split of patterns: Women's mostly with a few unisex and kids thrown in
Size Range: not really
Colour/Black & White: all colour
Schematics: No
Target Audience: Beginner mostly, some pieces may be a bit of a stretch with colour work etc but it's not terribly hard, they're the easy end of intermediate
How to knit guide: the how to use beads is well done and different techniques are covered in different chapters to learn with. Some extra techniques are listed like cables, cast on's etc but no basic how to knit stuff.
Mostly modern type pieces, some fairly classical.
Comments: if you're looking to try beaded knitting this isn't a bad book, the projects aren't bad but, it's a bit simple in places, there are no patterns listed as "experienced" so there's no real stretch here. Still if you're looking to add a little beading to experiment, this isn't a bad book.
Buy/Borrow: a borrow here. Some people may get a lot out of it and it is pretty well illustrated but I have no overriding urge to knit much out of it and I've seen a lot of the techniques elsewhere and with more complex ideas attached.
Where found: Dublin City Public Libraries just got copies in.… (mer)
