3Q, 3P I think this book is one that children must enjoy with an adult. It is too advanced for the average toddler to go through along and practice the signs without an adult coaching them. The featured child and the family is of an unknown race, so it could appeal to all ethnicities. However, the book includes fairly random words that are sometimes concepts and other times objects. Some of these signs featured seem to advanced conceptually.
Do you think that a toddler can perform the signs introduced in the book independently? Which sign do you think would be the hardest to convey to a toddler? The easiest? Do you think that the illustrations add or detract from the book?… (mer)
