Throne of Embers: Bleeding Realms: Dragon Blessed… av Nina Walker
A fine, albeit bloody finish to this series. Like the other books in this trilogy, there's action aplenty and I particularly like what transpired in terms of Hazel's backstory and magical ability. The ending is most satisfying as well.
As good a middle book as you could ask for. It satisfies with enough ploy movement, while still tantalizing the reader with unanswered questions that left me so glad I have book three in my hand so I can read on without delay.
I have read several books where the story involved cross time, or cross dimension travel. This is as good as any I've read. In fact, as soon as I finished it, I ordered the other two books in the series.
First of all, the cover for this book is gorgeous. This is what immediately captured my interest, and for once, I'm glad I have a habit of picking books based on their covers. This was a very quick read, even quicker because I couldn't stop reading it. From the very first page, it held my attention; there wasn't a single part that I found boring. The characters were wonderfully written, and the world-building was phenomenal. The entire idea behind the characters and the history was extremely interesting, and the way it was explained was clear. I'll definitely be looking into more of Nina Walker's works soon.
