A friend of mine mentioned that she had just read this recently, but didn't know if she'd be making any of these... mostly because the book recommends that each dump cake be served the day it's made. (I did notice, however, that it IS possible to store leftovers in the fridge and many can be warmed up, if you prefer your cake warm.) I told her I wanted to see if after her, though, because she said it included recipes for basic cake mixes (yellow, white and chocolate) that a person could make on their own at home, rather than continually buying box mixes from the store. I thought that sounded simple and, in the long run, cheaper. So I checked out the book from the library, and after reading it, I've decided that I need to buy my own copy of it. These recipes look amazing! They're so simple, they require few ingredients, and the sound absolutely delicious! Plus, there are pictures for almost every single recipe, so you know what your dessert should look like. (I appreciate pictures in cookbooks.) This is going on my birthday wishlist!!!… (mer)
