An excellent first-person account of the first American maneuvering re-entry (MaRV) vehicle developments. It has excellent technical detail, though it is written at a level that a non-engineer can follow. The production quality and editing leave much to be desired, the citations are uneven, and the final section on MaRV developments in other countries has some errors, but none of these shortcomings detract from the strength of the core of the book. it also provides a compelling first-person perspective on conducting quantitative defense analyses.… (mer)
