Collectible Quotes

This is a group for those of us who love to collect quotes, and to discuss them.

Sometimes, as we are perusing the newspaper, or reading our favorite magazine, or involved in reading our latest book, we will run across a group of words that jump out at us, and make us pause and think, or make us laugh, or move us in a particular way.

Oftentimes the words form a complete sentence...i.e.. "You can give without loving, but you cannot love without giving". Amy Carmichael

Other times perhaps we love the sound of a certain expression, i.e. "Luxuriate in pleasant warmth" Author unknown.

So go ahead and share a quote you have run across.

You may also want to start a thread on quotes in a category. For example, quotes about horses, or cooking, or psychology.

You may want to start a thread about quotes in a particular book or within the books of a particular author.

Try to write the name of the person who said the words you are quoting, or the source where the quote came from, if you do not know the source, then state "source unknown".
