CLiF distributes thousands of free, high-quality books to schools, libraries, social services, and other organizations through our five program grants. We also give books directly to kids. We believe in the power of choice: teachers, librarians, and kids can all choose exactly the books we want. Our booklists are developed by our Board of Advisors, made up of children's literacy experts, librarians, and booksellers. These include thousands of high-interest, high-quality titles for a range of reading ages, abilities, and interests.

The Children's Literacy Foundation (CLiF) is an independent nonprofit based in Waterbury Center, VT. Since 1998 CLiF has inspired a love of reading and writing among low-income, at-risk, and rural children throughout New Hampshire and Vermont. To learn more visit www.clifonline.org.
