Rating Spectrum:

-5 stars: The greatest of all time. A place reserved for the best movies, TV shows, and books; they cannot really be improved upon, and are cemented as masterpieces.

-4.5 stars: Very good. Works that fall into this category are nearly perfect, just not on the same level as "the greatest."

-4 stars: Solid. They are all around good works, but could be improved upon in some areas.

-3.5 stars: Decent. There are redeeming qualities, but there are also a fair amount of issues.

-3 stars: Meh. Not unwatchable/unreadable, but not something I'd highly recommend or want to revisit.

-2.5 stars: Less than desirable. There are more cons than pros with those that fall into this category.

-2 stars: Bad. Not recommended.

-1.5 stars: Very bad. DEFINITELY not recommended.

-1 star: Terrible.

-0.5 star: Absolute and utter garbage. How did this even get made?

It's very likely that things would get below the 3-3.5 range, but if it does, there are some categories for them in that unfortunate event.

Die-hard fan of all things sci-fi and fantasy -- particularly Star Wars. Also a big fan of classic and retro stuff, as evidenced by the abundance of '60s, '70s, and '80s content that matches up to the modern parts of my catalog.
