Rest in Peace Sir Terry Pratchett (12 March 2015). From the Carpet People, to Discworld, to Good never disappointed. We will all miss you and your creative genius.

I am wondering why people reviewing books here and on other websites feel obligated to give 4 or 5 star reviews to books that deserve 1 or 2 stars. Many times I have asked myself, "Am I reading the same book this person reviewed???" Give an HONEST are not helping other readers or the author by inflating your rating to save people's feelings from being hurt. If an author wants good ratings, he/she should write a good book/story. Put time into it, don't just throw an e-book up on Amazon because you can...
I find myself wishing for the days when authors had to struggle to get a publishing house to even look at their manuscript. Now anyone with a computer can be a "published author". Are there some first-time e-book author success stories? YES, of course...but they did it the RIGHT way, they probably at least edited their work.
