London Transport Museum Library
Om mitt bibliotek

The London Transport Museum Library at Albany House holds a unique collection covering the past, present and future of public transport in London.

Find out how transport has influenced London’s social history, its architecture, art, and design. Learn about the people, the companies and public authorities that have played their part in transport development over the last 200 years.

Whether you are a student, researching a work project, or simply following up a personal interest we are open to members of the public for booked visits. There is no charge for admission.

In late 2022 we launched our full catalogue online which is available to search at library.ltmuseum.co.uk. It holds nearly 40,000 entries for books, pamphlets, journals, documents, special collections, Q&A and Events information.

The Library you can still see on LibraryThing shows only part of our collection, but we hope it will still provide a window into our holdings and inspire you to explore our full catalogue, find out about visiting the Library, or contact us with any queries.
