Om mitt bibliotek
Some books I swap, some I buy new or from shops like:
The Book Exchange, Amsterdam--one of the planet's better bookshops,
Edinburgh Books--musky and rickety with a good second-hand stock,
The London Review Bookshop--a different view on retail books.

My rating system is still a work in progress:
5 - So good it hurts. Reference: "Skallagrigg".
4½ - Outstanding, excellent, a classic and a fine read. Reference: "His Dark Materials", "The Alchemist".
4 - A really good book. Reference: "The Shadow of the Wind".
3½ - A good, engaging read. Reference "Odd Thomas", "No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency" (not book one).
3 - A fair to good read, enjoyable once. "No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency (book one)".
2½ - Readable but dropped short in some significant way. Might recommend conditionally or with reservation. Reference: "Sabriel", "December", "City of the Beasts".
2 - Didn't work for me: "The Sunday Philosophy Club".
1 - Poor (flawed) with little or nothing to recommend it. Reference: "Fear Nothing".
½ - A seriously bad book. I can't conceive of giving any book this rating.
Om mig
I'm Molly. I read books; in cafés, in parks, and sometimes on hillsides. Preferably with stories that make me feel happy, soulful, or even scared.
Sometimes I read stories so good that they hurt, but perhaps it's arguable whether that's a good thing?
