Om mitt bibliotek
My library is housed in the archive of the University of Virginia, where I served as Writer in Residence, and at my home, Rowan Oak, in Oxford Mississippi and is apparently being cataloged on LT by LibraryThingers. A list of the books in Virginia are inventoried here and in the link at the top of that page and there is an explanation of my libraries and how they got scattered in this Library Thing talk post.

Books tagged "per Styron" were noted to be at Rowan Oak on the day of my funeral, by William Styron, who wrote an article for the July 20, 1962 issue of LIFE Magazine. That article is the source authority for adding books so tagged to my Legacy Library on LT.
Om mig
I'm dead. Now. But that didn't happen until July 6, 1962. I was born in New Albany, Mississippi, on September 25, 1897. I spent most of my life in Oxford, MS, which I fictionalized as the town of Jefferson, Yoknapatawpha County, Mississippi, in many of my novels. I was awarded the 1949 Nobel Prize for Literature. My home, Rowan Oak, is now owned by the University of Mississippi, Ole Miss.
