The Children's Literature collections have a strong emphasis on adventure stories, predominantly featuring child protagonists in a range of historical or colonial settings. A fine collection of contemporary multicultural children’s literature allows the researcher to explore the flip-side of the historical adventure books.

The Childhood collections focus on childhood, particularly the physical representation of children at play and personal writing about childhood experience.

The Research Collections also include:

~ the library of the Worcestershire Archaeological Society
~ the archive of Kays & Co Ltd,the Worcester based mail order company,1890-2007.
~ a large Basketball Heritage archive
