Om mig: Vidda Cartwright is the pen name for a museum professional who writes about life inside the museum sector. It's never easy writing about reality when you don't have permission, hence Vidda.

Vidda began reporting the inner workings of the imaginary Museum of Forward Planning during the covid pandemic. It started as a joke, it still is, but the therapy it provides to Vidda and others has convinced them it's a joke worth continuing for now at least.

When not writing sarcastic side-swipes at an industry they actually really love working within, Vidda can be found visiting museums, galleries and heritage sites and generally enjoying the absurdity of the fact they take photos of the signage while the rest of their family group can actually enjoy the day out for what it is.
