- The library list I would like to share and build on consists of self-referential books: books about books, reading, writing, and libraries, fiction or non-fiction. I welcome suggestions, conversations, etc.

- I've been a reader and writer all my life. Since I retired from teaching writing, I've been researching and giving slide lectures on the history of reading, writing, and libraries. I have been entranced with the origins of literacy c. 3500 BCE, the early Middle Ages, and the breathtaking changes brought about by the invention of the Internet (like this site).
