Om migBilingual (Spanish and English) author, writing mainly in English: 4 books on Latin America plus book of short stories, plus other short stories in online and print magazines. I've also begun writing stories in Spanish. Current projects include a just-completed novel about the 1402 Ottoman siege of Constantinople, and a book on the history of architecture and urbanism in Latin America, co-written with architect Susana Torre (to be published by W. W. Norton).
