Om migI am a retired teacher, a birder, a gardener, a reader (yes!), technically challenged but learning (slowly!). I enjoy walking, taking photos, dabbling in artsy-crafty things but am master of nothing. I love music, cats, photography, documentary films, snail mail, baseball, and being out in nature. I like (well, ok, LOVE) chocolate and ice cream.

Om mitt bibliotekMy taste in reading is all over the map. I love fiction, non-fiction, historical fiction, nature (gardening, bird, animal-related), humour, biography/autobiography/memoirs. I am not a big fan of mystery (only some, and only sometimes), and the only sci-fi I read is well-written time travel (think Jack Finney, Ken Grimwood, Darryl Brock). I do tend to read a lot of non-fiction and I'm also a huge audiobook fan. And I'm a primary school teacher so I have a soft spot for (and a pretty big collection of) children's books, especially those with wonderful illustrations.
