Om mitt bibliotek
Mostly poetry, literary criticism, philosophy, and novels, but expanding all the time. I'm currently very much out of shelf space.
Om mig
I'm a Ph.D. student in literature, writing a dissertation on contemporary American poetry and the experience of the sublime. At the moment, my focus is on the work of James Merrill, A. R. Ammons, Frederick Seidel, Jorie Graham, and Nathaniel Mackey. Because I live in Chicago, I'm probably suffering frostbite or heatstroke, depending on which of our two seasons it is. I spend most of my time at the University of Chicago, where fun goes to die, but on my weekend furloughs I'm likely to be found somewhere along the shore of Lake Michigan, along which I like to run. I train for and run marathons, because it keeps me from getting fat and is apparently good for my character, though each marathon I've run seems to have resulted in a broken bone.
