I want my library to be a collection of all books I've read or am reading. This is partially for fun and partially for work.

I read so much and unless it's really good or really bad, I can't remember much about it a year later. I hate when someone asks me about a book and I can't remember a darned thing about it. Writing helps me remember -- and it also is a good cheat sheet when people ask about it!

Part of my job is writing book reviews, so I write a lot of them. I write them differently at work than I do online. I also write about a wider variety of books than what I'd recommend for a young adult audience.

I work in a public library at the young adult desk. I love my job, the people I work with, the patrons and the books I "have" to read as part of my job. I used to be a school librarian, spending most of my time in elementary schools. So I know a lot about books for people age 3-18.

I am also at GoodReads.com under the same name. I am trying to figure out which place is more home to me. You can check me out there if you like. Eventually I hope to settle down at one of the place. I am a high volume reader and I don't think I'll be able to keep up two reader blogs for long.
