*UPDATE*

Quite miraculously, I achieved, and even surpassed a little bit, my 30 book goal for 2008. (Which was a huge step up from the pathetic number of 17-ish from 2007. I consider this progress!)

At the behest (most welcome, of course) of some of my favorite bibliophiles here, I have decided to step it up a rather big notch for me and shoot for the 50 Book Challenge. This equates to just over 4 books per month, so I supposed I had better get cracking!

I'm also interested in the 1001 Books list. According to the handy dandy Excell sheet, I will need to read 18 books a year to finish it. I somehow don't think that's going to happen, but it would be a nice goal to achieve.

I’m always happy to chat about books I’ve read and am reading. Always open for recommendations. As part of this year and the 50 Book Challenge, I would like to step outside my reading comfort zone, so please don’t let the plethora of chick lit in my book list deter you. They are just good mental breaks, especially when I can’t find a highlighter for the big boys. :P
