Om mitt bibliotek
This account is purely for the books I myself have read. I keep the "comments" section of my library in constant use, so if you want to know what I thought of anything, you don't even have to ask.

My list of "favorite authors" is highly selective. I don't add anyone until I've read multiple works by them and remained impressed. Exceptions: I'll add if I read the same work twice over or refuse if I have missed a critical part of the oeuvre (Beckett's prose, Miller's fiction).

I read literature (famous, forgotten, freakish or foreign - it's all of interest), history books, poetry, classic pulp, forgotten potboilers, literary criticism and can also handle philosophy in small doses.

Lastly, I don't like academics or any other people who suck the life and joy out of texts. I'm not going to read anything because of who wrote it or why - that is historical window dressing, good to know, but not a good reason to read. I do not adhere to a canon - I read from a sense of wonder and curiosity that is as likely to lead me to Sax Rohmer as Leo Tolstoy.
Om mig
What's to say? Northern Minnesota, frozen hands in winter, chairs by the woodstove, living on a run-down farm that used to be a hippie commune back in the day; walks in the countryside, swamps, bats, mosquitos, vegetation and foliage, the driveway turning to soup when it rains; a library with a flagstone floor, a wall of CDs in my bedroom, six cats, exquisite skylines, falling leaves....

My impressions. I read, I listen, I observe. In addition, I write.
