Om mitt bibliotek
My library reflects my taste in books. My history collection is predominated by World War II works, both non-fiction and fiction. I spent two years in Germany as a missionary for the Mormon Church and came to love the people and the country. My service there makes it all the more difficult to realize the horror unleashed on the world by the Nazis. Perhaps this drives my interest in this era.

Since my college days I have loved literature, especially Hemingway, Fitzgerald, Wolfe (the original and not the current author), Conrad, and others. Later in life I discovered Graham Greene and Somerset Maugham and have enjoyed their books. After law school I purchased and read all of Dasheill Hammett’s novels and became hooked on detective fiction. More recently I have discovered foreign detective/police fiction such as Hennig Mankill and English language authors including Philp Kerr, David Downing, Joseph Kannon, and others. Having grown up on James Bond, I was surprised to discover that Ian Fleming was more entertaining than the movies. Since then I’ve enjoyed Eric Ambler, Robert Little, early Robert Ludlum, Martin Cruz Smith, Dick Francis, and others. I still have copies of my college texts of Dante, Homer, Sophocles, Shakespeare, and others. My library reflects these and other authors I’ve uncovered over the years.
Om mig
I graduated from Brigham Young University in 1976 with a major in English and a focus on pre-law. I have been a practicing attorney in the Salt Lake City area since 1981 and have focused my career on assisting startup companies navigate the maze of state and federal regulations to raise capital and comply with reporting obligations with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Through the years I have met my share of interesting characters whose ideas ranged from the mundane mining venture to pearl farming in the South Pacific.

I have had a love of books for many years and have focused on history, particularly World War II, literature, and some popular fiction. I prefer hardback editions to paperback or electronic formats. I find it nearly impossible to discard books, even ones that didn’t enthrall me. My favorite Twilight Zone episode is “Time Enough At Last.” I wish I had more time to read.
