The J. Porter Shaw Library has about 40,000 books and magazines as well as a lot of additional paper. We are the third largest museum library in the country.

My personal library contains about 300 maritime books and magazines. i have complete sets of Sea Breezes since 1919 and Log of Mystic since 1948.

I also have a large collection of post cards in many categories including maritime. They amount to about 50,000 cards.

I am Assistant Reference Librarian at the J. Porter Shaw Library of the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park.

I have been with the Park for almost 30 years; the last 5 in the library.
