Om migFormer bookseller, lifelong reader. I have an overwhelming book backlog now and not nearly as much time to read as I'd like these days.

Other interests competing for my free time are:

Going to night school for computer programming
Gym 4-6 days a week, weightlifting
PC gaming
Geocaching/hiking
Board games/escape rooms

Always on the look out for fantastic new poets. Copper Canyon Press catalogs are pretty much heaven to me.

My favorite places to buy books are used bookstores, thrift shops, and library sales. I enjoy treasure hunting.

My rating system:

★ Repugnant. Utter trash.
★★ Didn't really like it. Does nothing for me.
★★★ Adequate read. Enjoyable at parts, but not particularly memorable.
★★★★ Excellence both in how it appeals to me personally and in its character and execution. Recommended.
★★★★★ Transcendental. These books elicit a life-changing effect when I read them. They alter my ways of thinking, challenge my knowledge of the world around me, and for a little while take me to whole other celestial dimension.

Om mitt bibliotekMy favorites tend to be literary fiction, poetry, politics, and science, but I'm open to try anything once.
I prefer physical books to digital, and most of my books are either stacked on a shelf next to my bed or in my attic.
I rarely keep finished books, preferring to donate them once they've been read.
