How can we have any pudding if we don't eat our meat?

Life is short, drnewt; eat dessert *first*.

Of course, if you really want to make something good, nothing beats a good old Louisiana Back-bay Bayou Bunny Bordelaise, a la Antoine.

#12 - A la Antoine? This Antoine of New Orleans?

14drneutron

Antoine of Hoboken. He's a transplant.

I'm so good at keeping secrets that I didn't even post to say that I was keeping a secr... Damn!

23guido47

What is the "official" dress code for pudding?
No, not the "secret dress" we use for formal pudding eating fests, the other one.

24cmbohn

The real question is, what libations are we serving this year?

You left out the squirrels!

27justjim

Squirrels have such an innate sense of style that they don't need to be told what to wear for any occasion.

Just in case you need to recognise them though...

ps >24 cmbohn: cmbohn, from the above, it appear that PGGBs with acorn garnish are being served.

Also, for Lobsters:

Libations will be your choice of Pam Galactic Gargle Blasters, Mojitos, Kickapoo Joy Juice, or frankly anything else you want!

Lobsters keep all the drinks to themselves, the shellfish bar stewards.

My Dearest James,

Previously you referred me to the "manual" on a point of etiquette.

Of course you were quite right to do so... you know where my next council vote will go, you bastard - this mike is off isn't it...

May I now point you to Section 93.1 Para. 4c.
A seldom used clause, often forgotten, albeit of some gravity.

"NO member may refer to our 'crustacean staff' in any "pun-at-tive" terms."

The alliance between the squirrels, the hairy nosed wombats and the squids, is a little err. squishy, and we need all the strength (yum) a shell-fish might bring to
our "table".

James? Just Jim.

I apologise for the puns. "He that would pun would pick a pocket." By the way, here's that six quid I 'borrowed' from your pocket the other day.

33mrgrooism

I agree, it's considered bad manners to offend the lobsters, they really get steamed, which oddly enough is in good taste. Hence, the missing crustaceans...

No way "james, #32, 6 squid is...

I am old enough to remember when a squid was a squid.

Lets see, with compound interest (from the 14th of Feb. 1966)
and potential "posseidon" shares... Hmm. You now OWE me a "Squillion" squid.

And as usual, your "squid" only had 4 tentacles, Trying to short arm me again?

LOOK, lets work together on this, you write me a cheque for a million or so "squid" I'll donate this cheque to the "world squid foundation"
and I (please note the "I" for any future publicity releases) will not mention your night with "Shane Warne"

Your REAL friend,

Guido.

Edited to add a Pun.

Ah, Squids will be Squids.

But I prefer my pudding without seafood. I'm just glad I got here before the end of the jubilee!

Well, if you aren't feeling quite the thing during the Time of Pudding, there's always blancmange which soothes the throat as well as the spirit.

The timing is, of course, secret but it is not too revealing to note that Ol' Janx Spirit and Arcturan Mega-gin are members in good standing.

41jillmwo
jan 6, 2011, 7:46 pm

Seems to me that once the three Ghosts of Christmas (Past, Present, and Yet-to-Come) joined the Society as members in good standing, it was just a given that spirits were welcome.

And I must say, as a matter of personal philosophy, I don't think I could be part of any group that excluded others on the grounds of personal translucence.

How do we allow people of a "certain" IQ" to find OUR site?
Oh wait I did stumble onto it myself. Retracts resolution 131(q) at next months
"secret" meeting. Which you''ll find it in the appendix, listing all the secret meetings.
