I've not been too active on here but thought I'd thank Jill for the motivation for reading 3 Orange winners this month. I read Larry's Party, Small Island, and On Beauty. Don't have reviews up for the latter two yet, but Larry's Party is here:

I'm really glad I got closer to my goal of reading all the winners, but I was a little disappointed that none of them were 4.5 or 5 star books. I think I may read Home in February as I really wanted to get to that one and don't want to wait until July for it. I probably saved the best for last!

Welcome Michelle! You can be more active in July, but I think that people will still be posting around here. It's been such a fun group.

I have both Larry's Party and Small Island here to read. Maybe in July

Liked this one but didn't love it. Small Island was voted the best of all the Orange winners by the Orange committee chairs. My favorite so far, though, is Half of a Yellow Sun. Anyone want to share their favorite?

My review of Small Island:

Hi Michelle - good review of Small Island. As for my favorite, that is tough. I had two books (Unless and A Sin of Colour) that were both great for different reasons. As much as I loved Unless, I will lean towards A Sin of Colour as my favorite so far for the beautiful way the story was presented.

lkernagh, I loved Unless as well and really wish it had been a winner!
