Hi Guys, I found a very helpful website for anyone who wants to read an author's books in the order in which they were written. Right now I'm reading the Nero Wolfe mysteries which are available on Kindle for about $6 each, and I'm reading them in sequence.
The website is located in the UK, so I hope I get this right. If not I'll correct it later. http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk.

I forgot to mention...the Nero Wolfe books were written by Rex Stout.

http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk is a known resource (and if you had not found it yet, look at their New Books section http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/new-books/ (after you specify which country you are in - works for only a handful of countries but if you are in one of them, it is a nice feature)

Thanks AnnieMod. If you know any other known resources please let me know. Maybe there's a place where I could go and find all the known resources? I found another resource called American Lit, but it wasn't as good as fantastic fiction, so I didn't mention it; but fantastic fiction was a great find for an idiot like me...Amazon gives has a dropdown menu when you search for an author, saying it gives the author's works in order, but it does a poor job. Thanks again, Mike

Yeah - Amazon is not that good with ordering stuff.

I had been using FF a lot - it is a nice site - sometimes I forget that people do not know about it :)

PS: Have fun with it -- although it usually tends to increase the number of the books you want to read - the recommendations and similar items features are nice :)

Hi, AnnieMod. This used to be a very active group. I don't know what happened to all of us. I've seen krazy4kats posting on other groups, and she used to be here all the time. I hope we don't go defunct. I didn't notice the "similar items" feature on FF. I'll check it out.
I've been buying way too much from Amazon, so I've made a resolution not to buy any more books from them for 3 months...I'm using the library instead. I recently bought a kindle cover from them, but I'm not counting it as an Amazon purchase because it's not a book. I'm reading a lot of non-fiction for a change. My current book is Ideas: a history of Thought and Invention, from Fire to Freud by Peter Watson which is very good but quite long.

Yeah - I am making deciding not to buy almost every week... and somehow I almost always have pending orders .:)

I am all about waking up groups -- so if you have any ideas, I am sticking around :)

6>> Hi Mike,

I just posted to the Amazon's Kindle group about changing your K2 battery. My do-it-yourself was successful, and I think the same principle applies to K3 (though probably with a different replacement battery), but since most K3s are probably still in warranty, I wouldn't recommend any DIY on K3.

I guess one problem with having two Kindle-related groups is that posting gets a bit sporadic on both of them.

>6 IronMike: Hey AnnieMod, we've heard from another former frequent poster to this group...CurrerBell...an intellectual. Hey, CurrerBell, good to hear from you. I have a k3 now, though I still sometimes use my k2. I get no wi-fi reception in my apartment, so I never got the latest update which allows you to see actual page numbers etc., then the other night my k3 became unresponsive. Battery was fine, but I couldn't turn a page, or shut the k3 off. I did a "hard re-boot" where you hold the on-off switch in the off position for 15 seconds, and everything came back to normal after a re-boot. Weird. The next time I leave my building, I'll bring my k3 along and maybe it will download the recent upgrade. Take care.
