YA/Children's Book - Sister with Leukemia

Remembering a book in which a younger sister watches her sister's health decline while she battles leukemia. The narrator is interested in photography and is kind of nerdy/smart and the sick sister is beautiful, popular etc. In the end the sister passes away.

I'm not sure about the photography element, but that sounds very similar to A Summer to Die (by the same author as your Gift of Magic book).

Strike that, I'm completely wrong on the author detail.
