Say it is so! If Sir Pterry decides that it is time for him to depart with dignity, hopefully not at any time soon, I for one support his decision and would be honoured to drink one last glass of cider with him, shake his hand, and sing along with his favourite song as he, not to be too blunt, dies.

Oh, I most definitely support his decision. Just did not know that he was 'this' far in the process.

He probably isn't. It's important to get these things done early. You don't, for example, want to leave signing your will until the horses and the carriage are actually falling down the cliff.

I get the feeling from the article this is more the act that makes the act legally possible than the actual act itself. I have a feeling Sir Terry will be with us for a while yet. Or at least until he gets that book finished.

He has never made any secret of the fact that he is pro-VOLUNTARY euthanasia and has talked at length about his intentions.

I agree with him and wish, as many other Australians do, that our Government, which ever side happens to be in power, is not too cowardly to enact legislation so that we do not have to go to extreme and unpleasant measures to end things when life gets to be a burden.

It is knowing that the option is there which engenders peace of mind.
