I see another topic with the same name, but it's two years old, so I'll let it rest in peace.

I'm looking for a book club in the Middlesex area (or really anywhere between the Greater Hartford Area and New Haven). I'd prefer a book club that doesn't get sucked into bestsellers and Oprah Book Club books. I'd also prefer that it lean more towards the books and less towards social. Anyone know of anything?

Supposedly my library had one, but the "newest" information for it was from three years ago.

Did you try calling your library? Our library has two clubs but the info never makes it to our website because it's being redone. (Which has been taking a year, at this point!) The staff might know about various clubs that don't/won't show-up online. It seems that all of the libraries in my area have multiple clubs, and the ones in the area you prefer probably do, too.

The Willimantic Food Co-op (in Willimantic, of course) has been hosting a book club, which started this past year. I believe they meet about once or twice a month....actually, meets the last Sunday of the month from 3:00pm to 4:30pm.

Oh, here's their website...
