Prof. Rufus Fears died yesterday. He had 13 Great Courses to his teaching credit. He was 67. Sad.

I am sorry to hear that. At first, I thought your message meant that the Teaching Company had gone out of business.

Sorry to hear about the passing of Dr. Fears. Personally, I did not favor his lecture style, but he was a smart guy and he had lots and lots of fans.

I thought about that reality Garp, but decided too leave it to you to speak ill of the dead. ;)

Yeah, he wasn't my favorite prof either, but when I read about it, it still felt like "Hey -- I knew that guy. I took some of his classes!"

Yeah man I felt the same way. And I know a lot of people really enjoyed his stuff -- it was just too folksy and anecdotal for my taste
