I'm thinking of a word that rhymes with "thyroid" since I picked up my prescription this morning. Walking back from the pharmacy, it was so good to see so many tiny plants poking their heads up through the mud and what's left of the snow. And my cold has been reduced to only sniffles! Here comes spring!

Something like itʻs already been guessed,
But I feel an inclination, almost a behest
To guess: "__ __ __ __", a noun
not
Closely related in meaning to the
already
Guessed word (youʻre a steady
Reader of the "NOT" List, I assume),
And this new guess can loom
In the list as only one-letter-apart
From the previous. Is that a start,
If not a hint? As for a definition,
I must admit with the greatest contrition
That I canʻt think of a real syn-
-onym of it. Called "an abyss", it perhaps has been.
Itʻs kind of empty when you come right down to
It, and, I suppose, vacuous, too

"Satiated" is the nearest thing
I can think of to a synonym; bring
Your brain power onto it,
along with your insight and wit,
And make me a winner with: "__ __ __ __ __ __", which is this guess
If not, it was a wild one, I confess.
A participle, like the previous.
Not too common, but not too devious.

30Jenni_Canuck

#23 Was this guess inspired by the season opening of baseball? Certainly, the excitement is contagious but crambo's word is not.

#24 Sorry to hear about the piles; hope they're all behind you now!

#25 Have you tried this do-it-yourself test for paranoia: you know you've got it when you can't think of anything that's your fault.

#26 I was overjoyed to open LT to find so many guesses!!!

#27 I wish my life was a non-stop Hollywood movie show, A fantasy world of celluloid villains and heroes, Because celluloid heroes never feel any pain, And celluloid heroes never really die

#28 A chuckle maybe, but never a kick! We may shoot down your guesses but we will never be unkind :-)

#29 Three pieces of trivia for you:
1. Spiral staircases in medieval castles are running clockwise. This is because all knights used to be right-handed. When the intruding army would climb the stairs they would not be able to use their right hand which was holding the sword because of the difficulties of climbing the stairs. Left-handed knights would have had no troubles, except left-handed people could never become knights because it was assumed that they were descendants of the devil.
2. Michael Jordan makes more money from NIKE annually than all of the Nike factory workers in Malaysia combined.
3. If you passed gas consistently for 6 years and 9 months, enough gas is produced to create the energy of an atomic bomb.
