Hi Trevor!

Thanks for all your hard work on the LT BookCrossing data base. I sure hope our efforts will bring BookCrossing more international traffic!

I had fun today discovering how many BookCrossing TBR books I have on my shelf. Horrified might be the better word, though! :) I need to get moving on those.

Will need to read, register and move on the books in my pile. Too numerous too mention.

Welcome, Ardachy! Have fun discovering LT (still doing that myself too). Will have to find out what kind of database / link youare working on. Sounds interesting!
Enjoy reading and succes with reaching your goal!

BoekenTrol71 in case you have not already found it

Seems that I have 15 qualifying books not 11 and I have now update my initial post with the list.

Two read and thirteen to go although really I have gone three steps back as after last nights BC meet I came home with five books from karen07814 :)

feb 15, 2014, 7:42am

Seven read so I am nearly half way there already :)

Great progress, Trevor!

I, as always, have been distracted by newer books. I'm now reading a great book from the LT Early Reviewer program. Have you signed up for any of those? That's been somewhat impeding my BC MT TBR progress. :)

Have you thought of lengthening your challenge?! ;)

feb 17, 2014, 4:02pm

Yes I have signed up as an LT Early Reviewer but few are available for members resident outside North America and most of those are eBook format which I do not want.

What do you mean by lengthening my challenge?

What do you mean by lengthening my challenge?

I was just kidding, but by "lengthening your challenge", I just meant adding more books to the total since you've already finished half your challenge...while it's almost still the beginning of the year. :D

few are available for members resident outside North America

Yeah. That makes it much harder. I also agree about the e-books. They can't be BookCrossed! :)

Very impressive that you're already done half your challenge. I hope you end up with some good LT Early Reviewer options. I'm from Canada, which means that we get a reasonable number of choices but it's nowhere as good as that available to US members. A few years ago, I e-mailed a few small Canadian publishers and suggested they join the ER program, and sure enough, a couple of them eventually did. I'm not sure if my e-mail had any effect, but it doesn't hurt to ask. :)

Thanks for doing that! I'm sure your request did have an impact on their decision to participate. I made similar requests when LT started the Early Reviewer program. I was very pleased to see that some of those publishers decided to join. I think this is important for readers in those countries that don't have a lot of participation in the program. We can have an impact on making this program more relevant to ourselves.

Original challenge completed and now extended by the addition of books received so far during 2014.

apr 11, 2014, 12:11am

Wow, I am totally impressed! You are motivating.

dec 21, 2014, 5:42am

Just finished my 30th book for this challenge. That is double my original target so a nice round number to finish on. No more for me this year. I will have a look through and see how everyone else has done at the end of the year.
