I sorted my bookshelf by TBR/registered by others/in hands and discovered 23 books total. 4 of these have prerequisites and 4 are about creative writing (and thus aren't really the "read straight through" kind), and 1 is a list of hiking trails (also not really readable) so I'll toss those out right now, leaving me 14. 6 of these are super short, so I'm going to commit to reading 10 total.
In short: 23 total, gonna read 10 of them.
(Not sure how/when I got down to so few books from other people. It's a Christmas miracle.)

Whoa! Look who's here!! :D
One of the three books I already listed is from you...so I guess I should make that one of my next reads, eh? :)

Easy answer. We haven't had our holiday gift exchange yet!

Good point! Anyway, I think I'll go ahead and list my 14 books here so I have the titles handy (with the BookCrosser who gave it to me in parentheses):
A History of PI by Petr Beckmann (HI77)
Autumn Bridge by Takashi Matsuoka (KateKintail)
Giant Treasury of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter (KateKintail)
Lighthouses of Massachusetts by Bruce Roberts, Ray Jones (KateKintail)
Noodles by Michael Zulli (KateKintail)
Our Presidents ... At A Glance by Rolf Benj. Vinmont (crrcookie)
The Art of the Muppets by Henson Associates (6of8)
The Complete Tales and Poems of Edgar Allan Poe (mdm139)
The Know-It-All by A. J. Jacobs (RubyLadyBug)
The Law of Superheroes by James Daily, Ryan Davidson (6of8)
The Lynne Truss Treasury by Lynne Truss (bookstogive)
The Passion of Artemisia by Susan Vreeland (maryzee) :(
The Return by Victoria Hislop (nut)
Tokyo Fiancee by Amelie Nothomb (SqueakyChu)
Wow, all but two are from BCinDC members. Somehow, I'm not surprised.

What's my book doing at the bottom of your list?! ;)
I see you have a book from MaryZee, too. *sad sigh* Are we doing anything special with these books of hers after we finish them? Maybe we should save them all to return to Birdie's Café or something?

It's at the bottom because they're listed alphabetically. :)
I don't have any special plans for books from MaryZee, but I'll probably release it at a "safe" place like a LFL or OBCZ, as opposed to leaving it on a parkbench or something like that.

> 1 Hello, welcome & good luck with your challenge!
Hadn't seen your post yet I've been busy doing many things other than checking this thread.
All books you've listed are either new or by a new author. Interesting list, look forward to seeing the links / discover new books. (Not that MTBR needs to get any higher... Lol

A month in, and I still haven't gotten to any of these books yet. However, I have started refusing offers of books to review, so that'll free up some time to hack away at the old TBR pile. I'm not giving up! :)

Finally finished one!
Noodles by Michael Zulli: This was interesting, even if the artist's comments weren't too illuminating. I probably would have gotten more out of it had I been more familiar with Zulli's work beforehand, but it was still a really fascinating look into another's creative process.
I also decided not to read two others: Autumn Bridge by Takashi Matsuoka and Our Presidents ... At A Glance by Rolf Benj. Vinmont. I'm currently reading The Law of Superheroes by James Daily and Ryan Davidson. It's good so far.

Oh, that book's on my wishlist! Could you save it for me?
Drop dead Healthy, by the same author, was such a fun read!

I love that author! I listened to an audio version of The Guinea Pig Diaries, & it was a hoot! I've got The Know-It-All waiting on Mt TBR now.

Drop Dead Healthy is even better than The Guinea Pig Diaries. So read that book as well! :)
