What did YOU buy today? August 2016

One ARC (was going to be 2, but gave one to a member of my classics book group):

* The Last Days of Night by Graham Moore (pub date 9/16; historical fiction, Edison v. Westinghouse)

Over the last few days I've brought home another 6 ARCs:

* Without Mercy by Jefferson Bass (pub 10/16; body farm novel)

* Today Will Be Different by Maria Semple (pub 10/16; humorous contemporary novel)

* The Rift Uprising by Amy S. Foster (pub 10/16; science fiction)

* The Bones of Paradise by Jonis Agee (pub 8/16; historical fiction)

* News of the World by Paulette Jiles (pub 10/16; historical fiction)

* Yesternight by Cat Winters (pub 10/16; historical fiction with a paranormal aspect)

I made a raid on a friends of the library sale and came away with three sacks full. The ones I'm most happy with are Piedmont Airlines (because I work in an airport), The Art of the Steal (because I once had aspirations to go into museum studies), By Line: Ernest Hemingway (because I love the old sot) and Berlin Diary (because I spent a lot of time reading William L. Shirer while working on my master's thesis. I also picked up a terrific German-English dictionary - one of the huge old kind, leather bound, good paper and thumb cut outs.
