Friends, I see you are slightly dormant. I have a friend with a small, struggling press. Is there a source of grants for such an enterprise?

I don't know what their guidelines are, but I immediately thought of the Poetry Foundation: https://www.poetryfoundation.org/ At the very least, they might be able to steer him in the right direction.

Where is he located? If there are any local arts-oriented foundations, that would be the place to start. My experience on the boards of a couple of non-profit arts groups is that, with the exception of the really big ones, foundations like to help groups in their own geographic area.
