I'm curious is anyone knows how Murakami is viewed in Japan. I recently read a blog post that said that he is not considered "cool" among young Japanese, the implication being that he is viewed as a sell-out. I have no idea what the poster meant by the statement, but I'd be curious if anyone else can shed some light.
