These two authors are the same person and should be combined.

https://www.librarything.com/author/bohrh
https://www.librarything.com/author/bohrharald

The Canonical Name for https://www.librarything.com/author/bohrharald has been set as
Bohr, Harald August
I think it should be moved to Legal Name since I've never seen it used in any of my books. (It's either H. Bohr or Harald Bohr.)

I'm not quite sure how to combine the two in the best manner, so I kindly ask your help.

If there are other authors named Bohr with the same first initial, then the pages should not be combined.

If more than one author is represented on the "H. Bohr" page, that page should be split, and the books by Harald aliased to the "Harald Bohr" page. If he is the only author with books on the page, you can use the "other authors" field to change the author from "H. Bohr" to "Harald Bohr". (If there are no other authors with that surname and initial, then you can combine the two pages.)

Canonical names should generally not be entered; it is preferable to leave that field blank unless it's necessary to correct an error or inappropriate addition to the author name. Moving that to legal name would, in this case, be the best move.

Why not delete the canonical, move it to legal and recalculate? To the best of my knowledge, they are undesirable unless the winning one is odd.

Not to mention that setting the Canonical author name has a side effect on the language versions - the last set one becomes canonical in ALL languages. Which is not really a good thing...
