We won't trick you and hearing from you will be a treat...so speck up and tell us what's on your mind.

Lynda and Oliver have read 300 books this year!!!! Congratulations on a fantastic achievement. Good job.
I posted it in September and October's chats since tomorrow is October but it's still September today:)

Thanks! I'm doing a reading challenge on Goodreads that ends November 3rd, which has drastically spurred my reading levels. I'm reading a lot of crap for it because they are short and mindless. It's been very competitive.
4gaylebutz
Lynda - Impressive - that's a huge number of books! Too bad there's a lot of crap but I guess you do what you have to do to be competitive ;).
5bhabeck
hey guys! I'm running a bit behind - there was a family emergency (my dad died) and I've been in WI for the past week dealing with things. Lost track of the days but should have the Americana challenge posted sometime tonight or by early tomorrow am.

>5 bhabeck: Hi Brenda. I’m so sorry to hear that your dad died. Whatever you need to do with your family is the most important.
7Carol420
>5 bhabeck: Oh, Brenda. I am so sorry about your Dad. Take care of what you need to do for yourself and your family...we'll all be here when you are ready. If you feel that you need to skip a month...it will be fine.

>5 bhabeck: I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Best to all the family.

Hi Brenda, so sorry to hear about your dad. Sending all my sympathies.
15Andrew-theQM
My library has failed me and still not got The Bishop’s Pawn. Would it be possible to swap round and do Where Shadows Dance by C S Harris next?
16Olivermagnus
I can do Where Shadows Dance whenever you all are ready.
19Andrew-theQM
I suggest we do C S Harris Where Shadows Dance starting Monday 12th and we can 🤞🤞🤞 do the Cotton Malone next time.

>19 Andrew-theQM: That's fine with me. Question: Do you send the group read information to everyone that belongs to the groups or just to the people that generally participate?
21Andrew-theQM
>20 Carol420: Usually send them to all that participated at any point. I wish this had a feature like Shelfari where could send a message to everybody.
22Carol420
>21 Andrew-theQM: I was asking because we have a new member on the "Read It Track It' site..deaflower from New Zealand. I told her that I would let her know about the next group read. I didn't want to send something else if you had already sent it. She'll have to join the Mystery & Suspense group if she wants to participate. I'll send her an invite for that group.
23Andrew-theQM
I will do a post advertising it on that group too.
24Carol420
>23 Andrew-theQM: I sent her an invite to join the Mystery & Suspense group...but posting there would be good as we might have other people that would like to join us.
25bhabeck
I’m working on another person that works with Jodie and me. I don’t think she ROOs so we probably wont’t see her ‘til Dec if she decides to join us

>19 Andrew-theQM: This looks like a book that would be a good starter for me as a new member. It sounds as if I need to have an invitation to take part? My e book supplier has it available although my local library does not.
29Carol420
>27 Maura49: You are already a member of this group which is where the thread for the discussion will take place. You just need to join the group when Andrew posts it. Andrew divides the book up into sections and you can also see which sections are read on which days on on this site as well. It's also usually posted on the Read it Track It group site. You can post to the questions at your leisure. We don't all read at the same speed due to life having a habit of getting in the way of our reading time:)

Hi, sorry that it has taken me so long to get here, but I would definitely be interested in reading this book by C.S. Harris. I can catch up with the rest of the group, in the meantime.
37Carol420
>36 deaflower: Take your time. So glad to have you.

>39 Andrew-theQM:''please ensure that you do not leave any spoilers if you finish the book before Tuesday 3rd December when others will be reading the final section.''
I was puzzled by this message on the book discussion page of 'Where Shadows Dance.' The schedule seems to imply that one reads it in a week - not that I have. I have currently got to the end of the first batch of chapters.
Can you please help this confused newbie?

>40 Maura49: Welcome to LibraryThing! I believe it is an error. As we were going to read this at a later date but Andrew could not get a copy of The Bishop's Pawn by Steve Berry which was scheduled, this book was moved ahead. Usually the date of the last day of the book schedule would be the date that would be typed there. It should say today's date as Andrew will be posting the last questions today so it should read: "'please ensure that you do not leave any spoilers if you finish the book before Saturday 17th October when others will be reading the final section.''
42Sergeirocks
I do not like this new LT layout!
43bhabeck
>42 Sergeirocks: same here - too much white.
44Andrew-theQM
>40 Maura49: >41 EadieB: 🤣😔 Sorry about that Maura, shouldn’t clone previous postings. I obviously forgot to change that date, apologies for the confusion. Eadie is right it should say today’s date.

>44 Andrew-theQM: Well dog gone it...now you've gone and ruined our perception that you are absolutely 100% perfect. The entire group might have to go into therapy now.:)
