I wanted more American citizens to care about this topic years ago. That might have made for an easier push to convince elections officials (especially the conservatives) to improve security.

What's good about the new interest now is that it encourages people to look at what they missed. Examples:

Notice all the states cited with outdated and most hacker vulnerable voting machines are overwhelmingly red states? SC, KY, LA, NE.

Guess they've already fixed 'em the way they like 'em. If not, they would have bought new ones, less prone to break-in hackers, with higher platforms of security, now wouldn't they?
