I was craving a fun, undemanding re-read, so I picked up In Your Dreams by Kristan Higgins. It's a page-turner, but I don't think it will remain on my keeper shelves.

Currently I am reading a police thriller with Thirteen Hours by Deon Meyer, and I am about to start a historical novel entitled Tomato Rhapsody.

If anyone is looking for prize-winning fluff for the September RandomCAT, I can recommend Emily Larkin's Ruining Miss Wrotham, which won the award for the Romance Writers of New Zealand Best Overall romance.

Ever have that feeling that you wish you were not reading a particular book? Yup, that. I cannot say I'm going to be rating The Absolute Book very highly. It's a mess.

>35 Helenliz: I hope your next read is better!
I am determined to finish The Medicine Book, by DK Publishing, today. It's crammed full of information and has taken me weeks to read, but I've been really enjoying it. I'll definitely read more in this DK series, which is called Big Ideas Simply Explained.

I've just begun Corpse in a Gilded Cage by Robert Barnard, which has been on my shelves for a while. I'm not sure I'm really in the mood for it, but I've only read the first chapter so far, so time will tell. It's a short book, at least!
38rabbitprincess
Now that I have finished The Medicine Book (from >36 rabbitprincess:), I'm switching to historical fiction: Ride with Me, by Thomas B. Costain. Hoping that being on vacation will help me get properly stuck in!
