John Turner's wife is interested in having his library catalogued for posterity. She lives in the same city I reside in, and asked if I would help her. A former colleague of Dr Turner is visiting this weekend from Washington University in St. Louis, to help start the project. Can a Legacy Library be established for him, or should it be an author's personal library? Thank you for your assistance in this matter...

Once the books are cataloged we can certainly turn this into a Legacy Library. Just go ahead and get the books in, and we'll go from there!

Hi, Jeremy!
I am currently with John D. Turner's spouse and colleague. We are ready to start adding items to his personal library. I sent 2 requests yesterday to open his library (active LibraryThing Author) designation... Can you assist with that? I've opened accounts before on LT but not an Author's personal library account.

You should be able to add books without any problem once you've created the account (you'll need to create and log into that account and then add the books as you do to your own).

https://www.librarything.com/about/authors gives information on how to become an LT author. But I see that the box for asking for author status is not there, probably because he is dead.
