Mr. Talley's items are on auction here and here. It looks like the second listing has books in lots (161, 432-442). I could probably do all of these into a catalog myself if the page was set up. I don't know if permission needs to be granted from the estate nor if there are more books maybe in a private collection still with the estate though?

Yeah, generally in situations like this it's just a tiny tiny portion that goes into the auction, and the rest go who-knows-where. I tend not to bother with situations like this, but if you really want to catalog them, feel free!

>1 genesisdiem: I'd be very interested to see these as a Legacy Library!! Let me know if you need a hand.

I've started a page but I don't have any of the copyrights or permissions because I'm not sure how to do that. Also, the html did not seem to work on the profile page?

>3 LascaSartoris: Thank you!

I have started the book list.
Still to go are Lots:
432 (11 books)
434 (10)
435 (16)
436 (12)
437 (31)
438 (16)
440 (12)
441 (10)

Also needed is another set of eyes to double check that I haven't missed any lots on both links and that all books are entered correctly.

Hopefully more people will join in to help!

ok, I think all the lots have been entered. Thanks everyone!

Now I need to double check that nothing was missed and maybe clean things up a little. The profile is still a mess for one.

Also, I'm still not sure about permissions. >2 JBD1: Any ideas or anything else you see that needs to be done?

RE: Permissions: This is from Christie's "Terms and Conditions" page:

Unauthorized use of the Material may violate copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not sell, prepare derivative works based on or modify the Material (including, without limitation, preparation of summaries of the Material or "thumbnails" of any images therein), or reproduce, publicly display, publicly perform, distribute, or otherwise use the Material in any way for any public or commercial purpose. The use of the Material or any portion thereof on any other web site, or in any publication, database, catalog or compilation, or in a networked computer environment for any purpose other than personal browsing of the Web Site without the express prior written permission of the Company is strictly prohibited. https://www.christies.com/about-us/contact/terms-and-conditions-for-website-use

I think that all means you should get Christie's permission.

Thank you, >7 lilithcat: .

However, given that >2 JBD1: appears to be the lead on the Legacy Libraries project, and that I have never created one before, I am looking for help specifically from him about how he gained permissions for the many other Christie's auctions that have been used to create Legacy Libraries. I assume, perhaps incorrectly, that he has a contact. The ALT LL is currently set to private until this can be sorted out. If it needs to be deleted due to lack of permissions, then please do so.

Yes we have had permission for in the past for sales of contemporary collections, depending on what was included in the LT records. For now, just leave it private and I'll try to find a good contact.
