mines nerve-racking I have so much going on in such a short time, it sucks too

but im literally terrified to go to school, some kid deadass got arrested at my friend's school cause they got into a knife fight

we'll see how my mental health progresses throughout the year, i think i'm having trouble figuring out the balance of breaks and work. although i'm still convinced I'm taking too many breaks and i'm sure my grades will reflect that. ty for support tho :heart_hand:

I have been having a hard time balancing school work out, and even though I have a planner I am still having trouble with turning things in on time and getting them done. I am in the highest classes I can take right now have high expectations from parents and other adults in my life, and get quite literally barely any free time. I have been having frequent, mental breakdowns and don't know how to handle my emotions. My mom has been blaming it on hormones but I don't know how true that is. I have high expectations for myself and don't want to lower my classes.

Does anyone have any advice for this?

(Also have never been in this group but everyone seems to be helpful so I'm trying it out)

I don't have breakdowns as much cz I just give myself a pep talk daily n comfort myself. it works for me,my advice to u is don't be too hard on urself, be aware of wut ur feeling and why if parents don't understand or listen talk to friends or if u want u can ttm. love yourself and honestly give urself a break cz I think u really need one. don't be afraid to taste failure cz it will happen but u can get back up (maybe even 2x as harder) :) tc of yourself and if you need anything lmk!!

oh also... I blast music (mainly pop n rap) and dance as I do work lmao, fidget toys also work (if u prefer something quiet) my personal fav's are the orbeez ball and fidget spinner

The other day, I looked at myself and kind of gave up... But not in a bad way... I was like "You know what? Fuck these expectations" and so I'm kind of just doing everything at my own pace, even though that leads me to staying up til 12 every night I can tell I will be happier. Due to this work ethic my grades have all been lowering and evening out at B+ and A- but I can then that once I get into the flow and get used to this whole thing they will rise. Just trying to go slow and steady. Thank you to the people who have been helping me with this, it did help.
