Everyone: New Group - City of Bones

while spending my time searching for new groups on this website, i made a shocking discovery - there is no group for city of bones or city of ashes or (yet to come) city of glass, i.e. the mortal instruments by cassandra clare. it says on the whole "most commonly shared books" thing that 14 of us have read city of bones, but if you haven't - yes, i'm talking to YOU - go out RIGHT NOW and find it in a book shop of some kind. or just amazon it. anything along that line.
anyways, i felt that there should be a group dedicated to the general awesomeness of city of bones, its setting, characters (jace wayland is MINE, i'd just like to officially state) and that sort of thing. i hereby recommend it to anyone who hasn't read it. city of ashes is also just as interesting, and i am currently bobbing up and down in my chair just thinking about city of glass which will hopefully come out sometime this year.. or i may have made that up, i'm not sure when it's coming out.
so, i thought i should post this notice here, seeing as we're all a load of really cool people and if you're all feeling in a good mood you could humour me and visit the group i will be constructing =D

I love the books, and I think having a group devoted to the Mortal Instruments is brillant. Surprised that no one has made one yet! I'll definitely join when you make it!

Oh, and BTW, City of Glass comes out March 29, 2009. So we still have to wait almost 9 more months. It's torture, I tell you, pure torture!

I love that series! I just saw City of Glass in the bookstore yesterday. I didn't buy it because I didn't have enough on my giftcard, but I'm going to buy it anyway. I was waiting a while for the next in the series and I kind of spazzed when I saw City of Glass. x

I don't actually own it. I read Leah's. And guess what Alice? I got Casey and Athina into them. Athina loves them so much that she read the WHOLE of City of Glass online when she had really crappy dial up that takes SOOO long to load a page. I was like, "WOW!" And Casey is reading City of Ashes now. I'm not sure if she has finished it yet or not.

I hope she has b/c then i can lend her my City of Galss. That way I can read it soon. B/c knowing my luck, i'll get half way through and she will want it! :P

I wish we had the uniforms that those Japanese exchange students had. Their uniforms were so cute and schoolgirl-ish instead of our retarded ones. Even their blazers were awesome, whereas I look like a guy in mine. :(

I would hate not having a uniform, no offence, even though I don't like ours. It would be so annoying to have to wear casual clothes and everyday would be a constant competition of who's wearing the coolest clothes.

I like the school uniforms they wear in Wild Child.
Their skirts are like pleated (not dodgily like ours)
And they sit right above the knee and are perfect.
Soo much better than the potato sacks we call skirts

25: I love trackies. They are comfy and the adidas ones are fitted so they are not all gross and floppy. I wear alot of t-shirts and shorts and flats. And converse. I have my own "style", I call it very, very, very casual. :)

My Top Uniforms from Movies:
1. Gossip Girl (guy and girl uniforms- I would love to have a uniform but in a dress code)
2. Wild Child (I agree with Leah with the skirt)
3. St. Trinians (The uniform that Posh Totty girls wear during the Scholastic Competion is cute)

25 and 26: I love trackies aswell but the my mum wont buy me new ones so what ill be wearing to camp will be gay.

Tracksuits and stuff like that arent a problem for me, cause i just get them from dad's shop. I think all my trackies are either adidas or lonsdale

I know hey. I don't particularly like casual days because I don't have that many nice clothes and most of my clothes are like two years old because my upper torso doesn't grow so my mum doesn't see the need for new clothes.

once you dye blond hair dark, it kinda permanently stains it, so it will never be the original blond. a girl in my McAuley class was blond and she dyed her hair black and it has washed out now but it still is pretty dark. mind you, this was about 10 months ago, so it wasnt recent.

48: Yeah, I said that to Liyu that if you dye your hair, it will never go back to its original colour and she was like, "Yeah, if you don't dye it again, it will." But it doesn't. I sort of want to do this where the hairdresser looks at your hair under light and sees your natural highlights and then brightens them up, I'm not sure if it's really dying it, it's more like colourfying the original colour. So I have natural blond and red highlights and I want to get them brightened up a little. :)

What would happen to my hair?

Depends on which colour you dye it. If you dyed it blond or red, it would be a kind of weird brown colour with black regrowth (a very nice touch..not!).

I think that Toni looks soooo gorgeous-more gorgeous, she's gorgeous all the time-without makeup or not that much. she's putting more and more on. Just saying.

A series similar to Twilight would be the book that is set in Malibu. I think it is called Vampire Beaches? Anyway the main character is a human named Jason and his girlfriend is Sienna who is a vampire.
