Did everyone see the Drink and Draw Social Club book? Sure there's a lot of mugging going on in what could argued to be a vanity printing, but there's a lot of fun stuff in it. I really like Dave Johnson as an artist, and there's a shit ton of those cardboard drawings he does.
I was just looking at it last night. Any time I want to get pumped up for a little sketchbook work, I take a look at this book or some Bill Stout stuff.

Actually Dave Johnson's site has a lot of good stuff on it, if you've never seen it:

I've known Dave Johnson for many years - when I first met him he was working at a local 50's club called Studebakers as a DJ and going to school at Portfolio Center. We used to call him "Goose" as he resembled the character from the movie Top Gun. At one point he was in need of an airbrush compressor - I had an extra so I traded it to him for some artwork - so I've got several pieces that were done as school projects. When he and several other notables formed Gaijin studios here in Atlanta he did a few more sketches for me - I just recently got a piece from him. It's amazing how far he's taken his talent.

Put that stuff up somewhere when you get a chance and give us a link - I'd love to see it!

I plan to get to it eventually - I've got a lot of art to photograph and scan.
