It seems damn near impossible to find book blogs written by guys. I've found two, but thats after a LONG time searching. Am I just weird? Is it that much more common for girls to participate in such activity than guys? Normally I would find such a complaint to be pointless, but guys seem to have distinctly different tastes in books than women.

There are guys that blog, but yeah, they are outnumbered by we female types. I follow Go Read a Damn Book by a fellow LTer Mike. Can't think of any other guy book-only blogs. There are many about history though which include book comments that are on my radar.
As to guys having different book preferences, I'm not sure what genres would be dominated by guys. Can you give some examples?

btw, I share a kidlit blog with my buddy Don, but that's probably not the kinds of books you had in mind ;}

The one I can think of in my Google Reader is Letters on Pages. Adam reviews nonfiction exclusively.

Here's a crime/detective/noir blog that has multiple contributors; many of which are men.

Oh and I might be of the estrogen gender, but my book blog doesn't reflect that much as I read a lot of "male oriented" stuff and not much in the way of "female oriented" stuff, so you might like it. Link on profile if you're so inclined.

The two I've been following lately are Madness Abides (http://www.madnessabides.com) by "Dennis," and Doctor Johnson's Compendium of Fantastical, Whimsical, & Weird Books (http://horrorfictionnews.com/blog/). Both are quite good, and well worth reading. I just finished reading Madness Abide's archives yesterday, and am still working on Doctor Johnson, who has been keeping his blog for about a year longer than MA, although the entries are a lot more like polished articles then MA's. Thanks for the recommendations, I'll take a look, and post a couple I've found here for those interested.

I am a guy. And a mall cop too!
So yeah, I am a guy who happens to be a mall cop who blogs about his upcoming book.
Here. Check out my blog: http://mallcopdiary.wordpress.com/
