Following the 'Group combination proposals' in the 'New Features' group, where folks are talking about finally cleaning up the Groups area of LT. Great goal.

One of the vehicles for doing this is the 'Group Combination Proposal'. You see an example of it above with the blue voting bar. Any LT member can add those, and any member can vote. I am in favor of a lot of the proposed combinations. I don't know why most of the 34 Twilight lovers groups couldn't be combined. But I don't think Texas History should be absorbed into American History. They are not the same thing. So I voted 'no'.

Another vehicle Tim is working on is archiving or deleting inactive groups. And, actually, I'm OK with that, too, for certain groups, like the hundreds of kiddie-groups started by some teacher and abandoned by the kiddos after their class is done. But not for THIS group. Although the last post in this group was in June, I know that I've personally visited back here several times since then looking for something I'd remembered reading here. Just because there's no active talk going on, doesn't mean that the previous messages are without merit. Tim says, "I'm not against Texas History. But I think archiving what exists and having some devotee start a new group might be the better option." http://www.librarything.com/topic/79507#1666983

He used this group as an example simply because I'd mentioned it a few posts back (126).

I started this thread to see what you all think about those two possibilities happening to this group. And to encourage you to vote above and to speak up on the thread I linked.
