LoC, Could it be? - fundevogel

I just wanted to see how my reading falls according to LOC in relation to Dewey. And I'm curious if might finish this list before I am any where near finishing Dewey. The lettering system doesn't come as natural to me as the numbering one so forgive my inclusion of categories I haven't read from. I have no clue what letters are and aren't used without reference.

Thanks, you've probably seen most of them listed in my dewey list.

I added two, The Code of Hammurabi (KL) and History Begins at Sumer (DS).

Apparently I had a mini fixation on ancient Mesopotamia this month. I found both pretty easy to read, though after reading them I feel like I would have to read a good bit more to get a solid understanding of the area's ancient history. There's an awful lot of it and I really wasn't up to reading a definitive history of Mesopotamia so it was really nice to get a taste of it here to whet the appetite.

Stuff I've added between now and April. Reviews are in my Dewey list (with the exception of the Russian Fairy book, its review is on its Librarything page)...but you probably already read them if you were interested.

BS Who Wrote the Bible? – Richard Elliott Friedman 5/6/10
Q The Ten Most Beautiful Experiments – George Johnson 6/11/10
BL Religion and Science – Bertrand Russell 6/14/10
PQ Borges: Collected Fictions – Jorge Luis Borges 6/23/10

SB Gardening 101 - Martha Stewart Living 7/9/10

Since my last post I've added:

PT The Annotated Brothers Grimm – Maria Tatar 7/14/10
NK The Bayeux Tapestry - David MacKenzie Wilson 7/15/10
B The Handbook of Epictetus – Epictetus 8/6/10
PR Dracula's Guest: A Connoisseur's Collection of Victorian Vampire Stories - Michael Sims 8/22/10
NC The Book of Bunny Suicides – Andy Riley 10/09/10
PN I Killed Adolf Hitler – Jason 10/20/10

Some of those just replace other books. Just don't ask me which.

I'm just glad to see someone else is still participating in this challenge!

Incidentally your touchstone for "Stop Motion" is going to a Flash comic book; Stop Motion is the right one.

It's sorta an afterthought to the Dewey challenge for me. I figure anyone here who cares will see my commentary over there and I'm mostly just curious how the LoC challenge fills out for me as a consequence of the Dewey. A small part of me hopes I may finish it long before Dewey, but who knows. Maybe they're both tilting windmills.
